Meet John And Jill
Owners And Founders Of CP Bat Mitigation

At the age of 18, John Kolb began his career in construction. Throughout his years in the construction industry, he spent a lot of time doing roofing work. During this time, John became very aware of bat issues in residential and commercial structures. This niche is what led the Kolbs into full-time bat mitigation. Over the years, John has become the expert bat mitigator, bringing years of experience to perfecting the bat mitigation process.
Jill Kolb has been a large part of helping with the operational background of the business, especially when there were only three people in the company. Now, the company has grown to ten people, with two team members being John and Jill's daughter and son-in-law. The company is expanding because of the need for safe bat mitigation throughout the country in both residential and commercial spaces. Building the business on its proven processes, CP Bat Mitigation has become the leader in the bat mitigation industry.
Headquartered in Sioux Falls, SD, and offering full state coverage, CP Bat Mitigation is the area's leading residential and commercial bat mitigation service. With over 20 years of experience roofing and mitigating bats from people's homes, businesses, schools, churches, and more, our founders, John and Jill Kolb, and their team of bat mitigation experts, have built a solid reputation on trust, value, and unparalleled service.

Meet Sean
Senior Technician

Hello, my name is Sean Clarke, I am the Senior Technician. I was born and raised in Sioux Falls South Dakota, but I graduated from the University of Montana in 2000 with an Associate’s Degree in Computer Information Systems. I worked for a commercial building contractor for ten years. Working alongside John Kolb, we took our combined knowledge of the construction process and molded it to fit the specific needs of bat mitigation and that is when I became the “Bat-Man”. I have worked on over 15,000 jobs and therefore, I am continuously designing efficient ways to remove bats from every type of building. I really enjoy working on complex large structures, sometimes even 120 feet in the air!! And no, I am not afraid of heights! I also enjoy meeting new people every day, hearing their stories, and giving them peace of mind, their bat problem has been resolved. For the future, I am eager to train the next generation of Bat Men and watch them succeed as I have and grow their skills to continue to remove Bats from unwanted places.
